Alliance for School Choice
A national nonprofit educational policy group that seeks to ensure an honest debate about school choice by providing accurate information on the impact of school choice on families, communities and schools.

Black Alliance for Educational Options
A national organization whose mission is to actively support parental choice to empower families and increase educational options for Black children.

Center for Education Reform
Serves as a clearinghouse for information on charter schools and many other reforms in education.

Children's Scholarship Fund
A national organization providing over 40,000 scholarships to children across the country. Their website lists all the cities and areas in which they have established a scholarship fund.

Citizens for Educational Freedom
A national, non-profit corporation that promotes the primary rights of parents to freedom of choice, justice and quality in education for all.

Colorado Dept. of Education, Opportunity Contract Pilot Program
Provides up-to-date information about the state's voucher program.

NOTE: The Colorado voucher program was declared unconstitutional in May 2003.


Educate New Mexico
A non-profit organization which promotes and finances educational opportunities for students from low-income families. This organization offers scholarships to low-income families with children entering grades K-10 to help pay for tuition costs.

Fight for Children
Provides information on efforts to expand parent options in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Florida Child
A one-stop resource for information on schools and school choice programs in Florida, including what programs are available, who is eligible, and where to apply.

Florida Dept. of Education, Choice Office
Provides Florida parents with a one-stop information source for charter schools, nonpublic schools, home schooling, the McKay Scholarship Program, the Opportunity Scholarship Program, and the new corporate tax credit scholarship program. The Choice Office also assists Florida districts in creating their own choice plans for more open access to public school choice.

NOTE: The Florida Opportunity Scholarship Program was declared unconstitutional in January 2006.


The Milton and Rose Friedman Foundation
A leading national school choice organization dedicated to bringing educational freedom to all children.

The Friedman foundation was founded by and dedicated to fullfilling the ideals of Nobel Laureate economist Milton Friedman and economist Rose D. Friedman.


Institute for Justice
A Washington D.C.-based public interest law firm involved in a majority of decided and pending school choice cases.

PickyParent.com
Provides resources and tips for helping families choose a school that works for their child, including signs of good and bad schools. It includes the chance to sign up for a free monthly e-newsletter on how to choose schools and make the most of each child¹s education.

SchoolChoiceWI
Provides up-to-date information about the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program, the nation's oldest and largest publicly-funded voucher program for low income children. The site also features information about Wisconsin's other expanded parent options like charter schools.

The Report Card Report
Find online information about public and private schools in your area. The report contains three features: 1) links to Internet-based comparative information about individual schools in your state; 2) analysis of America's 10 best Web sites for school profiles; 3) a short essay on why comparative information about schools is important for improving parental choice in education.

The Thomas B. Fordham Foundation
Based in Washington, D.C., the organization supports research, publications, and action projects of national significance in elementary/secondary education reform. The foundation seeks to advance understanding and acceptance of effective reform strategies that address the need for dramatically higher standards, accountability, educational diversity and choice, and a solid curriculum taught by knowledgeable instructors.

Washington Scholarship Fund
A private scholarship organization offering financial assistance for K-8 students in Washington, D.C.
